Shark CarpetXpert Carpet Cleaner EX200C, Navy - Open Box

The Shark CarpetXpert Carpet Cleaner EX200C is a full-size corded upright with a spot and stain remover built into its body, so the machine that washes a whole living-room carpet is also the one you reach for when something lands on the stairs. A high-speed brush roll, a high-pressure PowerSpray and Shark's suction all work the pile together, and the handheld tool pulls out on its hose when a single mark is the only thing that needs attention.

Two Shark formulas come with it and they are not pre-mixed. Deep Clean Pro is the CarpetXpert formula for whole-carpet cleaning, and when you switch over to the handheld the StainStriker OXY Multiplier fuses with it inside the tool as you clean. Shark rates that pairing at 20x more stain-striking power than its Deep Clean Pro formula used on its own. Suction then pulls the liquid and the loosened dirt back out of the fibres, which is what stops a treated patch from drying into a ring.

Key Features

• Upright and handheld in one machine: a full-size deep cleaner for whole carpets plus a built-in spot and stain remover on an extending hose, with no second appliance to store.
• PowerSpray high-pressure spray: drives cleaning solution down into the carpet pile under pressure.
• Two formulas that combine in the tool: Deep Clean Pro and OXY Multiplier fuse inside the handheld as you work, so there is no premixing step.
• Pet messes and odours: engineered to lift pet stains and odours out of carpet and upholstery, including pet urine and smoke.
• 960 W corded motor: mains power with a 6.1 m cord, so the machine runs for as long as the job takes.
• 25.4 cm cleaning path: the head cleans a 25.4 cm (10 in) width on every pass.
• Easy-empty dirty water tank: lift the tank out, tip it into the sink, clip it back on and carry on.
• Washable foam filter: rinse it and put it back rather than buying replacements.

What to know before you buy

This is a wet carpet cleaner, so it washes and extracts rather than dry-vacuuming, and it does not replace your regular vacuum. It is corded, with no app, no Wi-Fi and no battery, and the clean and dirty water tanks are filled and emptied by hand. Shark positions it for carpet, area rugs, upholstery and stairs rather than bare hard floors. It is a full-size upright rather than a portable spot cleaner, so allow for the storage space and the carrying weight an upright brings.
