About This Product

Shark PowerDetect Stick Vacuum IP3251C, Auto-Empty Dock - Open Box

The Shark PowerDetect Stick Vacuum IP3251C is a cordless stick vacuum that lives on an Auto-Empty dock, and the dock charges it and empties it after every clean. Debris is transferred into a 2 L base inside the dock, so the emptying stays hands-free for up to 45 days at a time.

The other half of this machine is the sensing. Shark lists four Detect technologies on it, covering floor type, edges, hidden dirt and the direction you are pushing, and it raises power on its own when it detects carpet and dirt. Shark rates that boost at up to 75% more cleaning when carpet and dirt are detected together, measured in ECO against Detect Boost on ASTM F608, and rates the machine as its most powerful cordless suction, measured at the hand vacuum in BOOST mode on ASTM F558.

Key Features

  • Auto-Empty dock: charges the vacuum and empties it into a 2 L base after every clean. Shark rates that sealed transfer at up to 1000 times less dust exposure than traditional manual emptying, on third-party plume testing.
  • Four Detect technologies: Floor, Edge, Dirt and Direction Detect, the set Shark lists against this model. Edge Detect and DuoClean Detect are moulded into the nozzle housing.
  • DuoClean Detect nozzle: two brushrolls on one nozzle, rated for carpet and for hard floors, with Direction Detect picking up debris on the forward and the reverse stroke.
  • Up to 70 minutes of runtime: Shark's figure, measured at the hand vacuum in ECO mode.
  • MultiFLEX wand: the wand bends so the nozzle reaches under a table while the body stays upright, and Shark lists the same flex for storage.
  • Converts to a hand vacuum: the hand vac lifts off the wand for shelves and upholstery, and the two included tools fit straight onto it.
  • Filtration and odour control: washable foam filters plus a HEPA filter, an Anti-Allergen Complete Seal on the Auto-Empty base, and an Odour Neutralizer Cartridge that sits inside the base.
  • Measured for the room it stands in: 26 cm wide and 117.7 cm tall on its dock, with a 47.2 cm footprint front to back.
