About This Product

Samsung Galaxy A17 5G 128GB 6.7" AMOLED Black (CAD Version)— Brand New

The Samsung Galaxy A17 5G in Black pairs a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, so scrolling, gaming and video all stay fluid on a phone that sits well below flagship pricing. This is the Canadian retail model (SM-A176W), unlocked and ready for any Canadian carrier on nano-SIM or eSIM.

Samsung built this generation around longevity rather than spec-sheet bragging. You get six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates, a 5000mAh battery that comfortably clears a full day, and a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation that keeps evening shots sharp. For students, second-line users and anyone replacing an aging handset, it is the sensible middle of the Galaxy A range.

Key Features

  • 6.7" Super AMOLED, 90Hz — deep blacks and high contrast at FHD+ resolution, with a faster refresh rate than most phones in this price band.
  • 50MP OIS main camera — optical stabilisation cuts hand-shake blur, so low-light photos and handheld video hold detail.
  • Triple rear camera system — 5MP ultra-wide for group shots and landscapes, 2MP macro for close-up detail work.
  • 5000mAh battery with 25W Super Fast Charging — up to 18 hours of video playback, and a quick top-up before you head out.
  • Six OS upgrades, six years of security updates — the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G stays current far longer than the typical budget handset.
  • 128GB storage plus microSD — expandable by up to 2TB, so photos and offline media never force a cleanup.
  • IP54 and Gorilla Glass Victus — rated against dust and splashes, with a tougher screen than the glass used on earlier A-series models.
  • Galaxy AI tools — Circle to Search and Google Gemini are built in for on-screen lookups and quick answers.
