Drop in a K-Cup pod when the morning is already running late, or spoon in the beans you actually chose when there is time to care about it. Neither format is an attachment to dig out of a cupboard: the pod adapter and the permanent grounds filter both live in the machine, and switching takes seconds.

Brewing from grounds opens up seven sizes, stepping from a 6 oz cup through 8, 10, 12, 14 and 18 oz all the way to a 24 oz travel mug. Pods cover the first four of those, 6 through 12 oz. The cup tray adjusts, so a tall tumbler sits properly under the spout instead of balancing on whatever is to hand, and the tray drops away entirely when you want to brew straight into something larger.

Three brew styles sit above the size row on the panel. Classic pours a standard cup, Rich pulls a stronger and more concentrated one for anyone who takes milk, and Over Ice brews hot and deliberately strong so the cup still tastes like coffee rather than water once it has melted down over a full glass of ice. A 56 oz reservoir feeds all of it and pulls away from the side of the machine, so refilling means carrying a tank to the tap rather than the whole brewer.

The Over Ice setting brews hot coffee strong enough to pour over ice, and it does not chill the cup for you.
