The Sonim XP3 XP3800 is a rugged 4G LTE flip phone for workers who need to be reachable
without carrying something fragile. It is IP68 rated and built to MIL-STD-810G,
so dust, rain and drops onto concrete are part of the design brief rather than a
warranty claim.

The flip form factor does real work here: the clamshell protects the 2.6-inch
Gorilla Glass display when it is in a pocket or tool belt, and a 1.08-inch
external screen shows the time and who is calling without opening it. A
dedicated push-to-talk key gives radio-style comms over LTE, and the keypad and
PTT button are both operable while wearing gloves.

Inside is a Snapdragon 210, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage with microSD
expansion, plus a 5 MP camera and a removable 1500 mAh battery. It does calls,
messaging and PTT reliably — which is the entire point.
