The Razer Viper V3 Pro SE takes the shape, weight and sensor that made the Viper V3 Pro a
tournament staple and drops the one feature most players never use — the 8000Hz
dongle — to land at a much lower price. You still get 54 grams, the Focus Pro 35K
Gen-2 sensor and Gen-3 optical switches; you get a 1000Hz dongle instead of the
8K one.

For the overwhelming majority of players that trade is free. 1000Hz polling is
what almost every competitive mouse shipped with until very recently, and the
battery lasts far longer for it — 95 hours against the constant top-ups a
high-polling setup demands. If you later decide you want 8000Hz, the HyperPolling
dongle is sold separately and the mouse supports it.

The shape is symmetrical with a gentle hump toward the rear, which is the
profile most tournament players have converged on because it suits claw and
relaxed-palm grips equally. Both main buttons use optical actuation, so there is
no metal contact to wear out and no debounce delay to tune. Grip tape is included
in the box for anyone who prefers extra purchase on the sides during long
sessions.

Everything configurable lives in Razer Synapse: DPI stages, lift-off distance,
button bindings and power-saving thresholds. Settings can be stored on the mouse
itself, so it behaves the same on a tournament machine as it does at home.
